King Charles III of Britain promises "full support" for Ukraine and its people
The King of Great Britain, Charles III, in a speech to the Parliament, announced the priorities of the new Labor government for the coming months, in which, in particular, he declared his full support for Ukraine and its path to the North Atlantic Alliance.
This is stated in a message on the website of the British government on Wednesday, July 17.
"My Government will continue to provide full support to Ukraine and its people and will strive to play a leading role in providing Ukraine with a clear path to NATO membership," Charles III said.
In addition, the King of Great Britain emphasized that his government will seek to restart relations with European partners regarding the new security pact, improving trade and investment relations.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 5, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, had a conversation with the new head of the British Foreign Ministry, David Lammy, and announced that he had accepted an invitation to visit Ukraine.
Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunak admitted the defeat of his Conservative Party in early parliamentary elections on July 4.
