Russia plans to bring at least 50,000 russians to occupied Zaporizhzhia Region to change ethnic composition - Regional Military Administration
The occupation authorities are going to bring 50,000 russians and representatives of other nations on the territory of Russia in the form of "specialists" with their families to the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia Region, which is a violent change in the ethnic composition.
This was announced by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
"The occupiers declare their intention to bring at least 50,000 russians and representatives of other nations living on the territory of the russian federation to the temporary occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia Region. This is a policy of violent change of the ethnic composition of the temporary occupied territories residents," the message reads.
Fedorov noted that the enemy plans to bring so-called "specialists" with their families to the occupied Zaporizhzhia Region, including people who participated in the war against Ukraine, in order to change the ethnic composition of the residents and reduce the possibility of resistance.
The russians, who are planned to be resettled, are promised "favorable living conditions", as the head of the Regional Military Administration notes, at the expense of the property of Ukrainians who left or failed to prove ownership of housing or land.
"Forcibly changing the ethnic composition of the occupied territory is a crime. It falls under one of the signs of genocide. Russia is a country that commits international crimes and must be punished for it," Fedorov emphasized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, teachers from the russian federation who do not speak russian well are being brought to the occupied Zaporizhzhia Region.
