Russia loses 1,270 more soldiers, 22 tanks, and 33 armored vehicles on May 2

Losses of personnel of russian troops on May 2 increased by 1,270 to 472,140 people; Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 22 tanks, 33 armored fighting vehicles, and 58 artillery systems.

This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) posted on the Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

During the day, the enemy lost 22 tanks (total – 7,354), 33 armored fighting vehicles (total – 14,129), 58 artillery systems (total – 12,102), two anti-aircraft defense devices (total – 786), 42 units of automobile equipment and tankers (total - 16,266), five units of special equipment (total - 1,993) and 19 drones (total - 9,580).

Since the beginning of the war, the enemy has also lost 348 aircraft, 325 helicopters, 1,053 jet artillery units, 2,126 cruise missiles, 26 ships/boats, and one submarine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the loss of personnel of the russian troops on May 1 increased by 1,030 to 470,870 people, equipment - by 20 tanks, 29 armored combat vehicles, and 20 artillery systems.
