Poland Cuts Gas Supplies To Ukraine In October By On Average 28.8% To 2.9 Million Cubic Meters A Day

Between October 1 and 4 Poland cut gas supplies to Ukraine by on average 28.75% or 1.15 million cubic meters to 2.85 million cubic meters a day as against the average daily supplies in September (4 million cubic meters), press service of the Ukrtransgas company, the operator of the Ukrainian gas transport system, told the Ukrainian News agency.

In particular, according to the company on October 1, Ukraine imported about 2.8 million cubic meters of gas from Poland, on October 2 - 2.4 million cubic meters, on October 3 - 3.4 million cubic meters and on October 4, the figure was 2.8 million cubic meters.

The press service notes that the Ukrainian gas transport system (GTS) operator fulfills all claims for delivery of the natural gas and there are no problems in the work of Polish and Ukrainian operators.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in September, gas supplies to Ukraine from Europe made up about 987 million cubic meters of gas.

As at October 4, Ukraine expanded its gas reserves in underground gas storage facilities (USF) as against the reserved available as at September 27 by 0.61% or 101.66 million cubic meters to 16,702.27 million cubic meters.
