​Naftogaz Ready To Restore Gas Supply To Cherkasy Azot And Rivneazot In Case Of Advance Payment

In late April 2015, the court arrested the gas stock at RivneAzot and Cherkasy Azot because of the substantial gas debts to Haz Ukrainy and Naftogaz of Ukraine from 2009, the press-release noted.

The Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company is ready to restore gas supply to Ostchem-incorporated Cherkasy Azot and Rivne Azot in case of 100-percent advance payment, Naftogaz of Ukraine said in the press-release.

"We understand the well-being of ten thousands of people depends on the efficient operation of the above said enterprises. Therefore, we are ready to restore gas supply despite of the outstanding debt, but upon advance payment," Naftogaz of Ukraine Board Chairman Andrii Kobolev said.

In late April 2015, the court arrested the gas stock at RivneAzot and Cherkasy Azot because of the substantial gas debts to Haz Ukrainy and Naftogaz of Ukraine from 2009, the press-release noted.

As Ukrainian News reported, Cherkasy-based Azot chemical plant and Rivneazot chemical plant (Rivne), both of which are part of the Ostchem holding, suspended operations on May 28 because of political persecution and pressure on them.

The Group DF considers Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk's statement about the criminal proceedings against the Ostchem holding and the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company a political persecution of the group and its owner.

In late April, Kyiv Pecherskyi District Court ordered to arrest 500 million cubic meters of natural gas belonging to the Ostchem holding company within the framework of the criminal proceedings against property embezzlement by the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company's management.
