Monetary Base Up 3.8% To UAH 754.4 Billion In August

In August, the monetary base, which includes cash in circulation outside banks, as well as banks' reserve money and other money, increased by 3.8% to UAH 754.435 billion, according to the latest data from the National Bank.

This is evidenced by the NBU data, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the beginning of the year, the monetary base has grown by 13.9% from UAH 662.499 billion.

The money supply in August increased by 0.6% to UAH 2,267.021 billion, and since the beginning of the year it has grown by 9.4% from UAH 2,071.358 billion.

The volume of cash in circulation, according to the latest NBU data, in August decreased by 0.4% to UAH 640.257 billion, and since the beginning of the year it has grown by 10.2% from UAH 581.011 billion.
