The Ukrzaliznytsia joint-stock company has received 15 Starlink satellite Internet stations from N-iX, one of the largest IT companies in Ukraine.
The company has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is indicated that Ukrzaliznytsia received 10 Starlink devices of the first generation and 5 - of the second.
"I thank all our partners and business for supporting Ukrzaliznytsia at this difficult time. The railroad became the first state-owned company to use Starlink during the war. We received the first station in early March - immediately after Mykhailo Fedorov (Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation)," the chairman of the board of the company Oleksandr Kamyshyn is quoted in the statement.
He added that these systems are used for stable and reliable communication of critical systems that ensure the operation of the railway.
"This is an opportunity to build new ultra-modern system solutions," said Kamyshyn.
N-iX is one of the largest IT companies in Ukraine, founded in 2002.
N-iX has more than 1,700 specialists and provides software development and expertise services in cloud solutions, data engineering and other latest technologies.
The company has offices in the United States, Sweden, Malta, Poland, Bulgaria and Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the United States transferred 5,000 Starlink stations to Ukraine.
At the end of March, 590 Starlink satellite Internet stations were transferred to Ukrainian medical institutions and healthcare institutions.
On February 28, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said that the first batch of Starlink satellite Internet stations arrived in Ukraine.
