NBU Boosts Foreign Currency Buy On Interbank Market 9.4 Times To USD 375 Million June 7-11

In the period of June 7-11, the National Bank of Ukraine acquired USD 375 million, up 9.4 times week over week.

The NBU has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The NBU acquired USD 355 million at a uniform rate and USD 20 million using the Matching mechanism.

The NBU did not enter the interbank foreign currency market between April 5 and May 28.

Since the start of the year, the NBU has acquired USD 625.5 million and sold USD 70 million at a uniform rate.

Besides, it has acquired USD 80 million using the Matching mechanism.

In 2020, the NBU acquired USD 4,929 million and sold USD 3,891 million on the interbank foreign currency market.

Using the Matching mechanism in 2020, it acquired USD 478.5 million and sold USD 802 million.

The central bank acquired sold USD 270.1 million via foreign currency auctions.

The NBU acquired USD 4,450.5 million and sold USD 2,818.9 million at a uniform rate.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2019, the NBU acquired USD 8,462.6 million and sold USD 529.23 million on the interbank foreign currency market.

In 2018, the NBU acquired USD 3,173.78 million and sold USD 1,801.82 million.
