Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 21.6% To 2,208, Number Of New Lethal Cases Stable At 119 On May 10

On May 10, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,208 over May 9 to 2,124,535, and the number of deaths increased by 119 over May 9 to 46,631; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 21.6%, and the number of new lethal cases remained at the level of May 9.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of May 11, a total of 2,124,535 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 46,631 fatal cases; 1,777,370 people had recovered.

On May 10, a total of 2,208 new disease cases were recorded, 119 people died, and 8,617 people recovered.

Therefore, as of May 10, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (2,208 vs 8,617).

As of the morning of May 11, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 300,534, down 2.1% over May 10.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (199,175), Kharkiv region (140,770), and Odesa region (136,487).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 131,910 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 126,768; Kyiv region – 120,820 cases, Zaporizhia region – 98,516, Zhytomyr region – 85,761, Khmelnytskyi region – 85,538, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 84,670, Donetsk region - 84,103, Chernivtsi region – 77,977, Cherkasy region – 77,394, Sumy region – 74,593, and Poltava region – 73,987.

A total of 73,777 cases have been registered in Rivne region, 68,966 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 67,676 cases - in Ternopil region, 65,203 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 60,609 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 58,744 cases – in Volyn region, 54,810 cases – in Chernihiv region, 32,447 – in Kherson region, 24,584 – in Luhansk region, and 19,250 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 9, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,817 over May 8 to 2,122,327, and the number of deaths increased by 119 over May 8 to 46,512; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 47.5%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 38.3%.

On May 8, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 5,372 over May 7 to 2,119,510, and the number of deaths increased by 193 over May 7 to 46,393; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 38.3%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 47.8%.
