Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 13.4% To 10,072, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 20.7% To 307 On April 29

On April 29, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 10,072 over April 28 to 2,069,537, and the number of deaths increased by 307 over April 28 to 44,085; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 13.4%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 20.7%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of April 30, a total of 2,069,537 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 44,085 fatal cases; 1,655,525 people had recovered.

On April 29, a total of 10,072 new disease cases were recorded, 307 people died, and 20,192 people recovered.

Therefore, as of April 29, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (10,072 vs 20,192).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of April 30 was 369,927, down 2.7% over April 29.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (195,498), Kharkiv region (136,029), and Odesa region (133,660).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 129,566 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 121,155; Kyiv region – 118,553 cases, Zaporizhia region – 96,026, Zhytomyr region – 84,230, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 83,887, Khmelnytskyi region – 83,408, Donetsk region - 79,594, Chernivtsi region – 77,126, Cherkasy region – 74,489, Sumy region – 72,729, and Poltava region – 71,707.

A total of 71,514 cases have been registered in Rivne region, 67,821 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 66,086 cases - in Ternopil region, 63,161 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 60,013 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 57,221 cases – in Volyn region, 53,305 cases – in Chernihiv region, 31,124 – in Kherson region, 23,450 – in Luhansk region, and 18,195 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 28, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 11,627 over April 27 to 2,059,465, and the number of deaths increased by 387 over April 27 to 43,778; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 21.2%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 12.2%.

On April 27, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 9,590 over April 26 to 2,047,838, and the number of deaths increased by 441 over April 26 to 43,391; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 21.2%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 2.1%.
