Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 36.2% To 5,062, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 15.6% To 195 On April 25

On April 25, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 5,062 over April 24 to 2,030,333, and the number of deaths increased by 195 over April 24 to 42,518; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 36.2%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 15.6%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of April 26, a total of 2,030,333 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 42,518 fatal cases; 1,579,438 people had recovered.

On April 25, a total of 5,062 new disease cases were recorded, 195 people died, and 6,910 people recovered.

Therefore, as of April 25, the number of newly-infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (6,910 vs 5,062).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of April 26 was 408,377, down 0.5% over April 25.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (191,751), Kharkiv region (132,504), and Odesa region (131,509).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 127,448 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 118,176; Kyiv region – 117,023 cases, Zaporizhia region – 93,823, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 83,410, Zhytomyr region – 83,239, Khmelnytskyi region – 81,941, Chernivtsi region - 76,634, Cherkasy region – 72,769, Sumy region – 71,547, and Rivne region – 69,856.

A total of 69,422 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 66,974 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 65,091 cases - in Ternopil region, 61,942 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 59,578 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 56,018 cases – in Volyn region, 52,449 cases – in Chernihiv region, 30,361 – in Kherson region, 22,479 – in Luhansk region, and 17,531 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 22, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 14,277 over April 21 to 2,004,630, and the number of deaths increased by 434 over April 21 to 41,700; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 12.1%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 7.7%.

On April 21, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 16,235 over April 20 to 1,990,353, and the number of deaths increased by 470 over April 20 to 41,266; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 33.5%, and the number of new lethal cases rose by 9.6%.
