Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 14.4% To 4,288, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 31.3% To 68 On January 10

On January 10, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 4,288 over January 9 to 1,119,314, and the number of deaths increased by 68 over January 9 to 19,835; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 14.4%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 31.3%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as at the morning of January 11, there were 1,119,314 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 19,835 lethal cases; besides, 796,417 people had recovered.

On January 10, a total of 4,288 new cases of the disease were recorded, 68 people died, and 4,819 people recovered.

Therefore, as at January 10, the indicator of newly-infected people was higher than the number of those, who recovered (4,819 vs 4,288).

As at the morning of January 11, the overall number of those, who are staying ill with the Covid-19 (less the recovered and died) made 303,062, down 0.2% over January 10.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (117,588), Odesa region (75,975), and Kharkiv region (72,666).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 64,977 coronavirus infection cases, Kyiv region – 63,700; Dnipropetrovsk region – 62,220 cases, Zaporizhia region – 58,574, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 44,415, Sumy region – 42,919, Rivne region – 42,811, Chernivtsi region - 42,009, Cherkasy region – 41,667, Zhytomyr region – 41,494, Khmelnytskyi region – 41,275, and Donetsk region – 39,572.

A total of 38,940 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 35,242 cases – in Ternopil region, 34,545 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 34,293 cases - in Volyn region, 31,539 cases – in Chernihiv region, 29,031 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 23,739 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 19,118 cases – in Kherson region, 12,115 – in Luhansk region, and 8,890 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 9, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 5,011 over January 8 to 1,115,026, and the number of deaths increased by 99 over January 8 to 19,767; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 3.4%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 23.8%.

On January 8, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 4,846 over January 7 to 1,110,015, and the number of deaths increased by 80 over January 7 to 19,668; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 14.6%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 3.6%.
