On December 6, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 8,641 over December 5 to 821,947, and the number of deaths increased by 145 over December 5 to 13,733; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 25.4%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 13.2%.
The National Security and Defense Council has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, as at the morning of December 7, there were 821,947 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 13,733 lethal cases; besides, 423,704 people had recovered.
On December 6, a total of 8,641 new cases of the disease were recorded, 145 people died, and 5,123 people recovered.
Therefore, as at December 6, the indicator of newly-infected people was higher than the number of those, who recovered (8,641 vs 5,123).
The number of the active sick (only those sick) as at December 7, made 384,510 people, up 0.88% day over day.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (81,335), Kharkiv region (59,393), and Odesa region (51,810).
Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 50,175 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 45,040; Kyiv region – 43,854 cases, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 39,438, Zaporizhia region – 36,937, Chernivtsi region – 35,378, Rivne region – 35,378, Sumy region - 33,658, Khmelnytskyi region – 32,429, Zhytomyr region – 32,318, Ternopil region – 29,788, and Cherkasy region – 27,167.
A total of 26,211 cases have been registered in Volyn region, 25,792 cases – in Donetsk region, 25,655 cases – in Poltava region, 24,663 cases - in Zakarpattia region, 21,442 cases - in Chernihiv region, 21,429 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 18,714 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 12,159 cases – in Kherson region, 7,088 cases – in Luhansk region, and 6,360 cases – in Kirovohrad region.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 5, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 11,590 over December 4 to 813,306, and the number of deaths increased by 167 over December 4 to 13,588; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 16.2%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 26.1%.
On December 4, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 13,825 over December 3 to 801,716, and the number of deaths increased by 226 over December 3 to 13,421; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 8.6%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 3.8%.
