On November 8, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by 8,687 over November 7 to 469,018, and the number of deaths rose by 115 over November 7 to 8,565; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 7.6%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 16.7%.
The National Security and Defense Council has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, as at the morning of November 8, there were 469,018 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 8,565 lethal cases; besides, 209,143 people had recovered.
During the day, 8,687 new cases of the disease were recorded, 2,277 people recovered, 115 people died.
Therefore, on November 8, the indicator of newly-infected people was higher than the number of those, who recovered (8,687 vs 2,277).
As at the morning of November 9, the number of the active sick (less those, who have recovered and died) was 251,310, down 2.6% day over day.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (44,920), Kharkiv region (43,930), and Lviv region (33,754).
Besides, Odesa region has registered a total of 28,728 coronavirus infection cases, Chernivtsi region – 25,411; Ivano-Frankivsk region – 24,494 cases, Ternopil region – 22,216, Rivne region – 22,140, Kyiv region – 20,410, Khmelnytskyi region – 19,839, Zhytomyr region - 18,970, Dnipropetrovsk region – 17,965, Zakarpattia region – 17,192, Volyn region – 16,436, and Sumy region – 14,863 cases.
A total of 14,190 cases have been recorded in Donetsk region, 14,105 cases – in Zaporizhia region, 12,566 cases - in Vinnytsia region, 12,204 cases - in Poltava region, 10,723 cases – in Cherkasy region, 10,559 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 10,164 cases – in Chernihiv region, 5,558 cases – in Kherson region, 4,539 cases – in Luhansk region, and 3,142 cases – in Kirovohrad region.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 7, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by 9,397 over November 6 to 460,331, and the number of deaths rose by 138 over November 6 to 8,450; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 12.6%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 26.2%.
On November 6, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by a record-breaking figure of 10,746 over November 5 to 450,934, and the number of deaths rose by 187 over November 5 to 8,312; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 10.5%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 6.9%.
