AIMA applicant threatens to file a lawsuit against a blogger because of a critical post

Vladimir Orlov, who was a customs officer and official during the time Yanukovych was in the office, is known to have escaped lustration, and now he demands that blogger Mikhail Shneyder removes a critical post about him, threatening to file a lawsuit against him. The blogger wrote about it on his Facebook page.

“Yesterday's story had an unexpected continuation. The “ hero ”of my article wrote that he was going to ... sue me and demanded to delete the post. To justify this, Vova stated that the information I provided does not exist. I suspect that he was apparently banned in Google if he cannot find that information, so specifically for him, I added links to prove Volodia’s “activities.” However, frankly, the main evidence is social network profiles of his wife and him, that are sointeresting that I print-screened them and I will be sure to return to them more than once, "said Shneyder.

According to him, as he studied Orlov’s biography, it turned out that he had been a business partner of the notorious police officer Yevgeny Shevtsov, "who, with his wife Alena Degrik, loves to sue the media and block unwanted sites."

According to media reports, the former head of the Sumy and Lugansk customs Volodymyr Orlov and the deputy chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police Yevgeny Shevtsov have common business interests related to smuggling between Ukraine and the occupied territories. In addition, Shevtsov and his wife Alena Degrik appear in a number of other scandals.

In particular, journalists found out that Degrik’s companies are actually online casinos banned in Ukraine. And the profit from their activities goes to Russia and the occupied territories of Donbass. At the same time, the media that covered the activities of the spouses are in danger of being closed: Shevtsov filed lawsuits against them, and by the count decision, sites that published news about him and his wife could be blocked.
