court, journalist, murder, Yurii Krysin, Viacheslav Veremii

A ruling of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv that sentenced to four years in prison in suspended sentence leader of a group of paid anti-maidan protestors (titushki) Yurii Krysin for involvement in the murder of journalist of Vesti newspaper Viyacheslav Veremiya was labeled as classified.

The Ukrainian News Agency learnt this from the State Register of Court Rulings, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In particular, the information in the register indicates that the sentence under the case No.761/23886/14-к was published in the register on December 26, but the access to the sentence is restricted.

At the attempt to open the court's judgment a sign appears that says that the access is blocked based on Section 4, Article 7 of the law On Access to Court's Rulings.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 22, Judge of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv Oleh Linnyk sentenced Krysin to four years in suspended sentence for involvement in the murder of journalist Veremiya.

The Prosecutor's Office requested six years in prison for Krysin.

The court established that Krysin and other paid anti-maidan protestors (titushki) on the evening of February 18, 2013 cruelly beat Veremiya with baseball beats at Mykhailivska square (Kyiv's center).

One of the assaulters lethally shot the journalist.

The court convicted Krysin of hooliganism.
