Kobolev Discusses With American Investor Soros Energy Security Of Ukraine And Reforms At Naftogaz

Andrii Kobolev, the board chairperson of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company, was on a business trip in London November 1-4 to discuss with George Soros the questions of the energy security of Ukraine and the reforms at Naftogaz.

This is said in an order signed by Kobolev on his business trip, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Kobolev also discussed with leaders of the Gasunie Company questions of partnership in managing the Ukrainian gas transportation system.

Kovolev also visited Munich, Germany, to meet with management of the Ferrostaal Company to discuss a project on modernization of a compressor plan of the Soyuz gas pipeline.

Naftogaz commercial director Yurii Vitrenko accompanied Kobolev during his trip to London on November 2-3.

Gasunie is 100% owned by the Dutch state.

The company also operates in Germany.

Gasunie owns 9% in Nord Stream AG.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2016, Naftogaz of Ukraine for the first time in the previous several years posted the net profit of UAH 26,528.989 million.

In 2016, Naftogaz of Ukraine boosted its net revenues by 43.12% or UAH 48,621.156 million to UAH 161,382.827 million year over year.

The State owns the 100-percent stake in Naftogaz through the Cabinet of Ministers.

Naftogaz of Ukraine is a vertically integrated oil and gas company engaged in full cycle of operations in gas and oil field exploration and development, production and exploratory drilling, gas and oil transport and storage, supply of natural gas and LPG to consumers.
