PGO Suspects Finance Minister Danyliuk Of Tax Evasion

The Prosecutor General's Office suspects Finance Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk of tax evasion.

This is said in a ruling of the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv of July 18, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv has ordered the State Fiscal Service to investigate into observation of the tax legislation by Finance Minister Danyliuk in the 1998-2016 period.

The Prosecutor General's Office suspects the minister of tax evasion.

The Prosecutor General's Office registered the criminal case on July 4, 2017.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, in 2010-2014, Oleksandr Danyliuk, then the head of the coordination center for economic reforms with the Presidential Administration of Yanukovych, purchased a house for 290 square meters worth UAH 2 million and a BMV X5 car.

In 2014, Oleksandr Danyliuk deposited UAH 519,600 at Ukrsotsbank.

According to tax declarations of Oleksandr Danyliuk, his income in 2010-2014 made UAH 556,100.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Oleksandr Danyliuk the Finance Minister in April 2016.

He came to the post in the Cabinet of Ministers from the position of deputy head of the Presidential Administration.
