The International Monetary Fund plans to replace its resident representative in Ukraine.

A source in the IMF disclosed this to Ukrainian News Agency.

"Jerome Vacher is still in office. I think we will soon issue an official statement [on replacement of the resident representative in Ukraine]," the source said.

Jerome Vacher is currently the IMF's resident representative in Ukraine.

He was appointed as the resident representative in Ukraine in May 2013.

An IMF resident representative usually has a term of office of four years.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, former deputy head of the National Bank of Ukraine Vladyslav Rashkovan was appointed as the IMF deputy executive director from Ukraine in February 2017.
