Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oksana Syroyid has started hunger strike.

She announced it at the parliamentary meeting on Tuesday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Today I want to support Oleh Bereziuk. I join him, I will be near him and will hold this hunger strike to try to stop that lawlessness," she said.

Syroyid called on President Petro Poroshenko to dismiss chairperson of the Lviv Regional State Administration Oleh Syniutka.

According to the Vice Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, Syniutka fulfills illegal orders of the authorities and deepens the waste problem in Lviv.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction calls on Lviv City Mayor Andrii Sadovyi to resign due to inability to settle the waste recycling problem.

Yurynets also called on chairperson of the Samopomich Association faction Oleh Bereziuk to stop hunger strike.

On June 19, Bereziuk started hunger strike.

On June 14, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman excused for Lviv authorities unable to tackle the waste problem.
