The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has prolonged until April 1, 2018 the force of special obligations of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company and regional gas distribution companies to supply natural gas to the population and municipal heating enterprises without revision of current prices.
Respective decision was taken at the government meeting on Wednesday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The resolution regulates Naftogaz gas sale prices only (UAH 4,942 per thousand cubic meters (less VAT)).
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine also sets ceiling, end gas prices for the population (UAH 6,879 per thousand cubic meters all transportation costs and taxes inclusive).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in compliance with the memorandum signed with the International Monetary Fund in 2015, Ukraine shall abandon state regulation of gas prices after April 1, 2017.
