Competition Commission: E-Declarations Of Candidates For Head Of National Police Not Taken Into Consideration

The competition commission decided not to take into consideration electronic asset declarations of candidates for the post of head of the National Police of Ukraine.

Commission secretary Yevhen Zakharov announced this at a press conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

He stressed that the competition commission decided to make a decision only on the basis of professional merits of the candidates for the post.

"We made this decision not to consider the package of documents... including the income declarations," Zakharov said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the competition commission has selected three candidates for the post of head of the National Police of Ukraine: Kostiantyn Buzhuyev, deputy head of the National Police/head of staff, lawyer Andrii Vyshnevskyi, and Serhii Kniazev, the head of the criminal investigation department of the National Police.

Chief of the National Police Directorate in Kyiv Andrii Kryschenko and Acting Chief of the National Police Vadym Troyan have refused from participating in the competition.
