Russia's Lavrov Objects To Changes In Minsk Agreements

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov objects to the idea of introduction of changes in the Minsk agreements of February 2015.

Lavrov gave the position at a press conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"As for the Minsk agreements, I have no intentions to re-write anything there," he said.

He said there was no need to bring this question up for discussion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, during a phone conversation on 16 January 2017, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and French President Francois Hollande agreed on the need to continue the work on preparation of a roadmap for implementation of the Minsk agreements on resolution of the conflict in Donbas.
