The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow (Russia) has prolonged the arrest of Roman Suschenko, a journalist with the national news agency Ukrinform, till January 30, 2017.
Lawyer Mark Feygin announced this on Twitter, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The tribunal produced this decision on the motion of the investigation for extending Suschenko's arrest by two more months.
The sitting was behind closed doors.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed a protest over the Federal Security Service of Russia bringing official espionage charges against Suschenko,
