NBU: WebMoney, Yandex.Money, QIWI Wallet, And Wallet One Electronic Money Systems Banned In Ukraine

The National Bank of Ukraine has banned the use of the WebMoney, Yandex.Money, QIWI Wallet, and Wallet One brands of electronic money.

A representative of the National Bank of Ukraine disclosed this to Ukrainian News Agency.

According to the representative, the National Bank of Ukraine has reminded banks and participants on the payments market that the rules for using electronic money of the brands WebMoney, Yandex.Money, QIWI Wallet, and Wallet One have not been approved by the National Bank of Ukraine and that provision of services to customers through these electronic-money brands is prohibited.

The list of domestic and international payment systems that are authorized for to operate in Ukraine and the list of the banks that are authorized to issue electronic money are available on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the National Bank of Ukraine ordered banks and non-bank institutions to stop working with Russian payment systems in October.
