Kyiv Mayor \/ the head of the Kyiv city state administration Vitali Klitschko has ordered the Kyivenergo Company to commence heating of housing in the city on October 12. The press service of the Kyiv city state administration announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports. Kyivenergo began to connect hospitals, schools and kindergartens to the heating services on October 10. According to the schedule presented by Kyivenergo and Euroreconstruction companies, the connection of residential buildings to the heating services is expected to start on October 17. However, in compliance with a resolution of the Kyiv city authorities, the heating enterprises shall began heat supplies to residential buildings of the city on October 12. The statement reads that the technological process of connection to the heating services can take up to seven days. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Kyivenergo Company considers it expedient to commence heating of housing on October 17. The Kyivenergo power company has announced that consumers owed a total of UAH 1.72 billion for heat energy as of September 1. DTEK owns the 72.39-percent stake in Kyivenergo.
