The Finance Ministry of Ukraine says the next tranche of EUR 600 million of the macroeconomic assistance from the European Union has been moved to the beginning of 2017.

Deputy Finance Minister Yurii Butsa announced this at the Ukrainian Financial Forum 2016, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The third tranche for EUR 600 million in macroeconomic assistance has been postponed. We hope to take it in the beginning of the next year," he said.

European Commission Vice President / European Commissioner for the Euro and Social Dialogue Valdis Dombrovskis did not rule out allocation of the second tranche of the macroeconomic assistance to Ukraine in the size of EUR 600 million by the end of 2016.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the European Commission in July 2015 allocated to Ukraine the first tranche of the macroeconomic assistance in the size of EUR 600 million.
