The National Anti-Corruption Bureau sees signs of an administrative offense in the actions of Verkhovna Rada deputy Serhii Leschenko from the faction of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko during his purchase of a flat in the Kyiv downtown.

Artem Sytnyk, the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, announced this at a news briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The administrative offence was in the deputy's taking an interest-free loan. This is an offence for officials of his level, said Sytnyk.

He said the materials of the inquiry would be transferred to the National Corruption Prevention Agency for issuance of an administrative protocol, as the National Anti-Corruption Bureau does not possess such powers.

Artem Sytnyk said the financial situation of the founder of the Ukrainska Pravda internet paper Olena Prytula allowed her lending over UAH 3 million.

The common law wife of Leschenko, Anastasia Topolska, had financial opportunities to give him UAH 150,000.

Serhii Leschenko had savings and that allowed him spending over UAH 1 million for the purchase of the flat.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, MP Serhii Leschenko has asked the National Corruption Prevention Agency and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau to make an enquiry into his purchase of the flat.

Leschenko has declared a 192 sq.m. flat in Kyiv.

The people's deputy does not consider his buying the flat a mistake.
