General Staff Predicts Demobilisation Of 6th Wave Of Mobilised Troops In September, October

The General Staff of the Armed Forces predicts demobilisation of the 6th wave of the mobilised troops in September and October this year.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a statement made by the Ministry of Defence press service.

“Unless the strategic military situation worsens, it is suggested in September to propound for consideration by the President of Ukraine a relevant draft statutory acts, to start the discharge of the 6th turn this month, and to relieve the main body of the mobilised servicemen in October 2016,” it reads citing Interim head of the Chief Personnel Directorate / deputy head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Talalay.

At the moment, military administration bodies and military units are drawing lists and planning schedules of the personnel discharge.

The demobilisation will be stepwise, in order to prevent reduction of the units’ combat readiness.

The personnel transferred to the reserve will be necessarily accepted to the immediate military reserve of the first priority.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Petro Poroshenko on June 24 announced demobilisation of the 5th wave of the mobilised.
