Ukraine has signed a "Drone Deal" with Latvia. It was reported by the Office of the President, according to the Ukrainian News agency.

According to the statement, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs signed the Drone Deal in Tallinn, Estonia. This is the sixth agreement of this kind that Ukraine has concluded with its partners.

It is noted that the Drone Deal opens up many opportunities for Ukraine and Latvia in joint production, primarily in defense cooperation, which is necessary in light of security challenges.

Latvia will contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities: this involves support in the areas of drones, air defense, and missile defense systems. Plans include the supply of defense products, financing of Ukrainian production, the development of defense cooperation with Ukraine, and the exchange of technologies, experience, and knowledge, particularly in building an integrated air defense system.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in May Ukraine agreed with the European Union to actively move toward joint drone production (Drone Deal).

In April, Ukraine and the Netherlands agreed to begin work on the Drone Deal and the joint production of drones.
