Russian drone and artillery attacks have left consumers without power in the Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia Regions, according to Ukrenergo.

Where safety conditions currently permit, emergency repair work has already begun.

Consequences of bad weather

Due to adverse weather conditions (heavy rain, strong winds), more than 40 settlements in the Kyiv and Sumy Regions were completely or partially without power as of this morning. Repair crews from both regional power companies are already working to restore the damaged overhead lines.

Consumption

Electricity consumption is showing a downward trend. The reason is clear weather across almost the entire territory of Ukraine (except for parts of the northeastern regions). This enables the efficient operation of residential solar power plants and a corresponding reduction in energy consumption from the main grid.

"Given the weather conditions, it is advisable to shift active energy consumption today to the period when industrial solar power plants are most productive—from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, the need for energy conservation remains during the evening hours—from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM," the energy officials added.

As a reminder, Ukraine will experience brief showers and thunderstorms today.
