US President Donald Trump gave an evasive response to Prince Harry’s remarks regarding the US fulfilling its obligations under the Budapest Memorandum, stating that the Duke of Sussex does not speak on behalf of the United Kingdom.

Reporters in the Oval Office asked Trump about the Prince’s remarks, and he initially dodged the question, briefly mentioning Meghan Markle.

"Prince Harry? How's he doing? How's his wife? Please give her my regards," Trump said.

He then added: “I know one thing: Prince Harry is not speaking for the U.K. That's for sure. I think I'm speaking for the U.K. more than Prince Harry. But I appreciate his advice.”

On April 23, the Duke of Sussex made an unexpected trip to Ukraine, where he delivered a speech at the Kyiv Security Forum and called on “the American leadership to step up its efforts,” without mentioning Trump by name.

"The United States has a singular role in this story. Not only because of its power, but because when Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons, America was part of the assurance that Ukraine's sovereignty and borders would be respected. This is a moment for American leadership, a moment for America to show that it can fulfill its obligations under international treaties – not out of charity, but because of its unchanging role in global security and strategic stability,” Harry said.

Meanwhile, Trump made headlines in 2019 by calling Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, “nasty,” though he later denied it. The actress, who in an interview during his first-term campaign called Trump "divisive" and "misogynistic.”

Meanwhile, Trump denied that he had invited russia to the G20 summit, which will take place in Miami on December 14–15. However, he emphasized that if russian dictator vladimir putin were to attend, “it would be helpful.”
