US President Donald Trump denied that he had invited Russia to the G20 summit, which will take place in Miami on December 14–15. However, he emphasized that if russian dictator vladimir putin were to attend, “it would be helpful,” according to Clash Report.

“I haven't invited Putin to the G20, but if he came, it would probably be very helpful,” the publication quotes him as saying.

Trump added that he had been saying this for a long time — ever since the “G8” was turned into the “G7.”

"Russia was excluded even before my term. It was Obama and a certain prime minister from a country called Canada," he added.

As a reminder, russia claims to have received an invitation to participate in the G20 summit at the highest level, which will be held this year in the United States of America.
