The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that since the beginning of February, Ukrainian defenders have liberated over 480 square kilometers.
He reported this during a telephone conversation with the Chief of the Defense Staff of the Armed Forces of Great Britain, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton.
"I informed about the current situation in the area of combat operations. Despite the complexity of the situation, the Defense Forces of Ukraine are conducting active defense. In March, our units liberated almost 50 square kilometers of territory, and since the beginning of February - over 480 square kilometers," he reported.
Syrskyi emphasized that the key tasks of the Defense Forces remain the destruction of the enemy, deterring its advance, defeating rear areas, including deep inside the territory of the russian federation, as well as protecting the airspace of Ukraine.
"Our goal is to make every step of the enemy as costly as possible, effectively combining intelligent solutions and modern technologies," he added.
The Commander-in-Chief also thanked Sir Richard Knighton, King Charles III, the British government, and the British people for their consistent support and cooperation in the interests of Ukraine's defense and the protection of democratic values in Europe and the world.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Syrskyi had previously warned of the regrouping and preparation of the occupiers for a new offensive.
Meanwhile, on the night of April 23, powerful explosions were heard in the Feodosia area - according to preliminary data, an oil depot was hit, where tanks caught fire.
