Ukraine is working on the parameters of security cooperation with India and Bahrain. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In addition, Zelenskyy talked about the report of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov after the second stage of his work with the Middle East and the Gulf region, as well as other countries that face significant security challenges due to the war in Iran.
"Rustem held talks with representatives of India and Bahrain, and now we are working on the parameters of security cooperation with these countries. Based on the specific experience of our expert teams in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, we are preparing to strengthen some areas of bilateral cooperation, and there is a clear understanding of what exactly and through what steps should be strengthened in the first place," he said.
The NSDC Secretary also reported on the results of the work of all Ukrainian expert and military teams in the region.
Zelenskyy also added that only with Ukrainian security experience can the defense of Europe be truly reliable. He said that Ukraine is also preparing new bilateral security agreements with its European partners.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had already agreed on 10-year agreements with three key countries: Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, in addition, there are already requests from 11 other countries in the Middle East and the Gulf.
