German journalist Julian Röpcke, known for his analysis of the fighting in Ukraine, has officially announced the end of his career at BILD. After eleven years of work in the media, he decided to move to the defense sector. Röpcke announced this on the social network X.
The expert noted that he planned to keep this news a secret for a few more months, but in the end he decided to open his cards regarding his future.
"What lies ahead is a transition to a German-Ukrainian drone manufacturer, which has been operating since 2023 and is among the largest suppliers to Ukraine," the journalist shared.
According to him, the company he is joining already plays a significant role in providing the front with unmanned systems. Röpcke stressed that such a step is a logical continuation of his activities in support of Ukraine, but already in the practical sphere of the defense sector.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, an underground factory for the production of drone components will be built in Ukraine.
The Pentagon has selected 11 suppliers of drones for the US Army, and a Ukrainian company has made it to the finals.
