On the night of Tuesday, April 21, russian troops carried out a massive drone attack on Sumy, residential buildings and a medical facility were hit, 15 people are known to have been injured.
This was announced by the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, Serhii Kryvosheyenko, on his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
He noted that the massive enemy attack was aimed at residential areas, infrastructure facilities and medical facilities.
"As a result of the massive enemy strike, high-rise buildings, infrastructure facilities and civilian cars in the Zarichnyi district of Sumy were damaged. A fire broke out at the site of the hits," he wrote.
According to the latest data, 15 people were injured as a result of the night shelling of Sumy, 5 people were hospitalized, including three children.
All received qualified medical assistance.
Mayor Artem Kobzar specified that one of the enemy drones hit the roof of a medical facility.
Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service reported that drone hits were recorded at seven different locations.
"Multi-apartment residential buildings and a medical facility were damaged, and civilian cars also caught fire," the report said.
Due to the threat of repeated attacks, rescuers suspended work several times and retreated to a safe place.
All fire sources have already been eliminated.
