The aggressor country russia has delivered 100,000 tons (approximately 730,000 barrels) of crude oil to Cuba, which is experiencing one of the worst energy crises in decades due to the US embargo.

Reuters reported this with reference to a statement by the russian government on Monday, March 30.

Moscow said that the tanker Anatoly Kolodkin (IMO 9610808) arrived in Cuba with a cargo of 100,000 tons of crude oil. They also said that they would continue to provide assistance to "their Cuban friends."

According to ship monitoring data, Anatoly Kolodkin left the port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea on March 8. The vessel is currently off the northern coast of Cuba. The tanker is expected to call at the port of Matanzas tomorrow, March 31.

The russian dictator's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today that russia "cannot remain indifferent" to Cuba's energy problems and will continue to work on oil supplies. According to him, the issue of russian oil supplies to the island was discussed at the talks between representatives of the russian federation and the United States.

As the Ukrainian News agency previously reported, earlier today, US President Donald Trump said that Washington doesn't mind a russian tanker delivering oil to Cuba.

On March 19, it became known that two russian tankers are moving towards Cuba, carrying about 730,000 barrels of crude oil and 27,000 tons of gas.

In January of this year, Trump threatened tariffs on any country that dares to violate the US embargo and deliver energy to Cuba.
