On Saturday, March 28, power went out in parts of Kyiv, as a result of which the work of the subway and other electric transport was stopped in some places, and there is no water supply in a number of districts.
The press services of the Kyivvodokanal company and the Kyiv City State Administration have announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Due to the power outage of Kyivvodokanal facilities, there is currently no water supply on the left bank of the capital, as well as in the Pecherskyi, Holosiivskyi, Solomianskyi and Sviatoshynskyi Districts," the water utility said.
Specialists immediately began the necessary repair work to restore water supply to consumers as soon as possible.
The Kyiv City State Administration said that voltage problems were recorded on the left bank of Kyiv, which affected the operation of public transport.
In particular, some ground electric transport was operating intermittently.
In the capital's subway, the section between the Dnipro and Lisova stations was temporarily out of service.
Public electric transport has already been restored.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the state will allocate funds to equip residential high-rise buildings in Kyiv with backup power supplies in case of blackouts.
