Instead of Daria Volodina, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, who is resigning, a lawyer and teacher Olena Kyivets may become a member of the Servant of the People. This follows from the election list of the Servant of the People party, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
After lawyer and teacher Olesia Otradnova, who is included in the electoral list of the Servant of the People party under No. 160 and on February 24 became a Member of the Verkhovna Rada, the next candidate under No. 161 is Olena Kyivets.
Kyivets, 48, is a professor at the Department of International and European Law at the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University.
As the Ukrainian News agency previously reported, Daria Volodina, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, is resigning her mandate.
In March, deputy chairman of the Servant of the People faction Andrii Motovylovets said that the crisis in the Verkhovna Rada was getting worse: about 40 MPs of the faction wanted to resign.
