Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, at the invitation of international partners, will take part in events dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the European People's Party in Brussels, where they will discuss further support for Ukraine by EU countries and attracting resources for the restoration of the state. He announced this in his Telegram channel.
"This week, at the invitation of international partners, I will take part in events dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the European People's Party in Brussels. Meetings with European politicians are planned. We will talk about further support for Ukraine, assistance to Kyiv, strengthening cooperation with European cities and attracting resources for the restoration of our state," Vitali Klitschko said.
He noted that such meetings provide an opportunity to talk about the real situation in Kyiv and the needs of Ukraine, as well as to strengthen cooperation and support from Europeans.
"Such meetings are an opportunity to convey the truth about the consequences of the war, about the challenges that Kyiv is facing, and about the need for assistance to Ukraine. And this is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation that helps us survive," Vitali Klitschko said.
The event in Brussels will be attended by leaders of European states and governments, representatives of EU institutions and politicians from different countries. The EPP remains the largest political force in Europe and unites more than 80 parties from more than 40 countries.
The UDAR party is part of the EPP political family: since 2013 - as an observer partner, and since 2023 - an associated member of the European People's Party.
