The co-owner of the Kvartal-95 studio, Tymur Mindich, who is suspected of corruption abuses, considers the case against him to be too politicized. In a conversation with MP Oleksii Honcharenko, the businessman said that he supports the work of anti-corruption bodies, but insists on his innocence.
"My position is this: I am definitely in favor of what the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) is doing. There is a question, I am a friend of the President, this is my only sin today. There is increased interest in me. I am not against checking some facts. But I am definitely against any accusations before trial," Mindich noted.
The businessman also denied information about losses of USD 100 million in the Midas case, calling it a "media label" and specifying that the materials mention the amount of UAH 300 million. Commenting on his relationship with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Mindich emphasized that he respects him as a leader, although their communication became less intense after 2019.
"I am lucky in life, I have such a wonderful friend as a person. I consider this person a patriot of the country... But I am not in such close contact with Zelenskyy when he became President," he added.
Mindich also noted that he does not know the reasons for the imposition of sanctions against him and the possible deprivation of citizenship, and is currently trying to gain access to the meetings of the High Anti-Corruption Court in an online format.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Mindich stated that he was "found guilty of everything" and announced the publication of new tapes.
On November 10, NABU detectives came to search the homes of businessman and co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio Tymur Mindich, Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko, and Energoatom.
On December 1, the High Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for businessman and co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio Tymur Mindich, a defendant in the case of a corruption scheme at Energoatom.
