Mindich says that he was "designated guilty of everything" and announces publication of new tapes

Businessman Tymur Mindich, a defendant in the Energoatom corruption scheme case, said that journalists organized a wide-ranging information campaign against him and made him the culprit in everything. He told Ukrainska Pravda about this.

UP journalist Mykhailo Tkach met Mindich on the beach in an elite suburb of Tel Aviv (Israel). The businessman called for separating the information and legal sides of the case against him. Mindich refused to comment on the legal side, and called the information side a "steep attack" and said that the media made him the culprit in everything.

"There is a big media case with your participation and with everyone else, which makes up about 90% of my case. I was accused, attributed to me, that is, in the media I was made an outcast and declared guilty. And there is a legal case, in which I can't really comment, because there are lawyers, there is the whole story that I can't comment on, let's be careful here. And in the media - I can say that this is a cool job - yours and all the other guys. A cool script, a cool media attack over the past few years. The media created the whole image, and that's it," Mindich emphasized.

The businessman said that he was familiar with Umerov and Halushchenko, but he had never given them instructions in his life. Mindich also refused to comment on the case about bulletproof vests and said that this would be one of the most important in his case. He emphasized that a lot of things were shown out of context and noted that he was "designated guilty", but the whole conversation was not shown. Mindich called for waiting for new tapes and seeing what will be made public.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) detectives came to search the homes of businessman and co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio Tymur Mindich, Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko, and Energoatom.

On December 1, the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for businessman and co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio Tymur Mindich, a defendant in the case of a corruption scheme at Energoatom.
