Ukrainians have more than a trillion hryvnias in their hryvnia accounts

The Deposit Guarantee Fund has reported that more than a trillion hryvnias is kept in Ukrainian hryvnia accounts.

This is stated in the message of the Fund, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

As of November 1, 2025, the total amount of deposits of individuals (including individual entrepreneurs) in Ukrainian banks amounted to UAH 1,534.8 billion, which is UAH 19.4 billion more than the same indicator of the previous month.

A separate amount of funds on the accounts of depositors in national currency crossed the one trillion hryvnias mark.

Of the total amount of deposits of individuals as of November 1, 2025:

• deposits in the national currency - UAH 1,010.2 billion (+UAH 12.2 billion for October 2025);
• deposits in foreign currency - UAH 524.6 billion (+UAH 7.2 billion for October 2025).

The share of individual entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors as of November 1, 2025 amounted to 3.1%, and in the structure of the amount of deposits - 11.5%.

The amount of their deposits amounted to UAH 176.6 billion

Deposits of individual entrepreneurs are guaranteed by the Deposit Guarantee Fund.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, from April 13, 2022, on the day the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding Ensuring the Stability of the Deposit Guarantee System for Individuals” comes into force, for the duration of martial law in Ukraine and for three months after its cancellation or termination, 100% guarantees apply to deposits of individuals (including individual entrepreneurs) in Ukrainian banks.

After the end of the three-month period from the date of cancellation or termination of martial law, the maximum amount of guaranteed compensation for depositors of Ukrainian banks will be UAH 600,000.

All Ukrainian banks are participants in the Deposit Guarantee Fund.

As of November 1, 2025, there are 60 banks in the register of participants of the Fund.
