European leaders are agreeing on a joint visit to US President Donald Trump amid news that he has sent Ukraine an ultimatum peace plan.
According to Sky News, citing diplomatic sources in the European Union, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has discussed the possibility of a trip with key European leaders - French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
All four politicians are coordinating with each other to prepare a joint meeting with Trump in Washington.
According to Sky News, it is expected that the visit of European leaders to the US could take place early next week, most likely on Tuesday, if the White House confirms the date.
The topic of Ukraine and the new American approach to European security are expected to be key issues of discussion.
At the same time, a diplomatic source in the EU later told the newspaper that Starmer is not planning a visit to Washington, but Europe is preparing a joint meeting with Trump.
