On October 14, it became known that President Zelenskyy signed a decree on the deprivation of citizenship of Odesa Mayor Trukhanov. In addition, two other similar presidential decrees concerned collaborator Oleh Tsariov and former Ukrainian ballet dancer Serhii Polunin.
Later, the Security Service of Ukraine published a photo of Trukhanov's russian passport. The document states that it was issued on December 15, 2015 and is valid for 10 years.
Trukhanov himself denied that he has the citizenship of the aggressor state of russia. He noted that similar questions have been raised since 2014, and all checks by the relevant Ukrainian authorities have allegedly confirmed that he does not have the citizenship of another state.
