On August 2, a russian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia Region.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported this.
It is noted that on Saturday, our military launched a high-precision strike on russian military facilities in the Zaporizhzhia Region.
As the General Staff says, the elimination of the air defense system significantly reduces the enemy's firepower at long distances and reduces its ability to fire at positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and the civilian infrastructure of the region.
"This strike once again confirms the effectiveness and accuracy of Ukrainian units in detecting and hitting critically important enemy facilities, including in the temporarily occupied territories. Ukraine will continue the fight until the complete withdrawal of Russian occupation forces, the restoration of territorial integrity and the establishment of a just and lasting peace," the General Staff added.
As a reminder, on the night of August 4, the SSU struck the russian military airfield Saky in the temporarily occupied Crimea. As a result of the attack, one Su-30SM fighter was completely destroyed, and four more aircraft were damaged.
