On the night of Monday, July 7, the russian troops launched 4 missiles and 101 drones over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to shoot down 58 UAVs, another 17 drones were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare means.
The press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of July 7 (from 9:30 p.m. on July 6) the enemy attacked with 4 S-300/400 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the Kursk Oblast and 101 Shahed type strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - the russian federation, Chauda - TOT Crimea.
"As of 9:30 a.m., air defenses neutralized 75 enemy Shahed UAVs (drones of other types) in the north, east and south of the country. 58 were shot down by fire weapons, 17 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.
The enemy's air attack means hit in 10 locations, and the downed ones fell in 7 locations.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of July 7, the aggressor state russia carried out an air attack on Kyiv. The fall of drone fragments was recorded in three districts of the capital - a heating main, administrative and office buildings, and a car wash were damaged.
Due to damage to a heating main with a diameter of 1 meter, about 500 buildings were left without hot water supply. Among those disconnected were both residential buildings and social institutions - schools, medical institutions, and departmental facilities.
Also on the morning of July 7, russian forces attacked Kharkiv with drone strikes, causing fires and destruction in multi-story buildings. Children are among the 17 injured.
In addition, civilian infrastructure in Odesa was damaged by an enemy attack. A fire broke out in a security building near a new building, killing a security guard.
