Ukraine hands over to China evidence of participation of Chinese citizens in hostilities against Ukraine and in production of military products in russia

Ukraine has handed over to China evidence of the participation of Chinese citizens in hostilities against Ukraine on the side of the aggressor state of russia and in the production of military products in russia. This is indicated in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that on April 22, the Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine Ma Shengkun was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"During the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis stressed that the facts of the participation of Chinese citizens in hostilities against Ukraine on the side of the aggressor state, as well as the involvement of Chinese companies in the production of military products in Russia, cause serious concern and contradict the spirit of partnership relations between Ukraine and the PRC. Evidence of such facts was transferred by Ukrainian special services to the Chinese side," the statement says.

In this regard, Perebyinis called on the Chinese side to take measures to stop russia's support for its aggression against Ukraine, the absence of which Beijing has repeatedly stated.

Perebyinis assured that Ukraine values the strategic partnership with China and expects that China will refrain from further steps that could harm bilateral relations.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the Ukrainian military had captured two Chinese citizens who had fought as part of the russian army in the Donetsk Region.
