US President Donald Trump has advertised a new "gold card" that gives foreigners the right to permanent residence in the country. Such cards will be sold for USD 5 million.
This is reported by the New York Post.
The card, made in gold tones, depicts Donald Trump against the backdrop of the Statue of Liberty in New York.
"For USD 5 million, it can be yours. This was the first of the cards. Do you know what this card is? This is a "gold card" - the Trump card," said President Trump, demonstrating the card in front of television cameras.

The "gold card" is part of the US visa program that allows foreigners who have invested about USD 1 million in the US to obtain a green card, which grants the right to permanent residence and opens up the possibility of obtaining US citizenship in the future.
Recall that despite Trump's promises to crack down on migrants, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents deported fewer immigrants in February 2025 than during the Biden administration in the same month a year ago. At the same time, the number of border violators has decreased significantly under Trump.
Before that, Trump proposed to deport "criminal" migrants to the naval base at Guantanamo Bay.
